Gary Lineker ‘set to leave Match of the Day
Gary Lineker is reportedly ‘set to leave Match of the Day’ with his replacement ‘already in the pipeline’ according to the bookies.

The 60 year old’s odds of leaving the BBC football highlights show have been slashed by Paddy Power with the former England international stepping down from his role of hosting Champions League football on BT Sport this year.

Garth Crooks as well sad thing is Jenas is tipped to take over MOTD

Jenas is fucking awful.

I expect that's who the BBC will go with, then.

He was horrendous when he started. Whoever it is will grow into it quickly enough and be absolutely fine (except in the minds of several WHO posters and their ilk, obviously).

Here's a suggestion...

Get rid of all the MoTD presenters, and just show more highlights of the games.

They don't need presenters. The 'personalities' (or lack of) have taken over the programme and bore me fucking senseless with their contrived rows, knowing looks and shit "even you'd have scored that one, Micah" jokes.

We don't have to have presenters. Most fans just want to see highlights of the games. They could experiment with a presenter-free programme and just flash up graphic telling us which games you're about to see the highlights of - and then cut to the commentary which is, at least, focused on what's going on on the pitch (something that then gets repeated ad nauseum in the after-game 'chat' which invariably involves one of the presenters wanking off over VAR).

Make a football highlights programme about football highlights again - rather than woke politics, shit 'bantz' and false friendships which mask simmering rivalries.

Just a thought...

Re: Gary Lineker ‘set to leave Match of the Day
MOTD presenters are pretty pointless and that’s why it was a scandal that Linekar got paid so much to do it. That and him being a sleazy nonce too. I haven’t watched it for years but when I did it would be recorded and I’d fast forward through the talking.

All the analysis was just self important twaddle anyway. They’d carefully select a few clips to make a point that they’d settled on before the game kicked off and fit the game into their narrative. They also don’t appear to have much football knowledge outside of a few clubs which beggars belief.

More football, less claptrap would be a good way to go

Given the BBC,s recent activity!!!!

Expect anything BUT a white former male player or manager.

My guess is a female, either lesbian or black, or for the BBC preferably both.

What's Brian Moore up to, or should it be down to?

Anyway the late great Brian Moore not only did the commentary, he did the studio bit as well, along with Jimmy Fornals.

Saint and Greavsie, fucking hell, we were spoilt in those days weren't we?
